Where are Shayla’s Socks? is a fun, quirky story written in rhyme about a young girl named Shayla, who wakes up one morning with her socks missing. They mysteriously disappeared in the middle of the night and are nowhere to be found. Did they scamper away in Shayla’s sleep and not bother to say goodbye? Join Shayla and her mom in this fun, lyrical mystery-adventure as they search high and low for Shayla’s mischievous socks while dreaming up several fun and unusual scenarios that her socks could have been in—from going to a ballgame to joining the circus to soaring through a starlit sky—all with a surprisingly clever twist at the end.
Our Story
The Shayla Shares Foundation is named after the young feisty protagonist—a 7-year old girl named Shayla—in the witty children’s book, Where Are Shayla’s Socks?, authored by our founder, Michael Dotsikas and his co-author, Natalie McNee.
Shayla wants to share her humorous sock-story with as many children as possible, and that’s why we created our foundation!
